Yogi Adityanath becomes the longest-serving CM of UP, followed by Mayawati, Mulayam Singh Yadav

Lucknow, July 28: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has established a historic record and has achieved the distinction of becoming the longest-serving Chief Minister of the state.

Yogi has completed an effective tenure of 8 years 4 months and 10 days so far, breaking the record of 7 years 127 days of Mayawati.

This tenure of Yogi Adityanath is not only a symbol of political stability, but is also a period of taking the pace of development to unprecedented heights with reform, transparency and strong will in every field of governance. Chief Minister Yogi worked to transform UP, which was battling crime and anarchy, into a ‘new Uttar Pradesh’, where the rule of law is paramount and governance has become synonymous with good governance.

In the last eight years, the Yogi government has given the state new dimensions in the field of infrastructure, investment and employment. Among these, many mega projects like the establishment of AIIMS in Gorakhpur, Purvanchal-Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway or Film City are prominent. Through schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, free ration distribution, Ujjwala Yojana, Kanya Sumangala and Mission Shakti, there has been a positive change in the lives of crores of people of the state. Yogi Adityanath has not only become the longest serving Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, but has also established himself as a leader who has taken concrete steps towards making the state a ‘pioneer of nation building’.

State spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Manish Shukla said that since the day Yogi Adityanath has taken the post of Chief Minister in UP, the state is developing progressively in all directions. The law and order of Uttar Pradesh has become an example for other states of the country.
