Actor Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam’s film ‘Haq’ has become one of the most talked about films of the year 2025. The story and social message of the film have won the hearts of the audience, while the on-screen pairing of Emraan and Yami is being highly appreciated. Released on November 7, the film has strengthened its hold over the weekend after a modest opening on the first day. In contrast, Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Jatadhara’ is not getting the love of the audience.
‘Haq’, inspired by the famous Shah Bano case of Indore, is slowly starting to gain its foothold. According to a report in Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 3.75 crore on Sunday (the third day). After opening with ₹1.75 crore on its first day, the film has grossed ₹8.85 crore in three days. Critics believe the film’s strong theme and the cast’s performances drew audiences to theaters over the weekend.
Meanwhile, “Jatadhara,” starring Sonakshi Sinha, Sudheer Babu, and Shilpa Shirodkar, is suffering heavy losses at the box office. Released on November 7, the film collected only ₹1.07 crore on its first and second days. Its earnings dropped to a mere ₹9.9 million on the third day. The film’s total collection in three days is only ₹3.13 crore, potentially placing it among the year’s flops.
Directed by Suparn Verma, “Haq” is a sensitive film inspired by the Shah Bano case, depicting the fight for women’s rights and justice in a modern context. The film’s powerful dialogues, Yami Gautam’s powerful performance, and Emraan Hashmi’s balanced performance keep audiences engaged.
Filmy pandits believe that if the film continues to capitalize on word of mouth, it could gain an even stronger following in the coming days.
