Mirzapur, March 17: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting with officials on Tuesday at the Ashtabhuja Dak Bungalow in Vindhyachal regarding preparations for the upcoming Chaitra Navratri Fair. He gave clear instructions to make the entire district, including the fair area, plastic-free and present a clean and beautiful Vindhyachal to the devotees.
The Chief Minister directed the Municipal Corporation and Panchayati Raj Department to ensure special cleanliness arrangements in the fair area and ghats. Emphasis was also placed on implementing a door-to-door garbage collection system and beautifying major roads, including bus and railway stations.
Regarding security arrangements, he directed that extensive arrangements be made for the safety of both general devotees and women. In view of safety in the Ganga River, adequate deployment of the NDRF and SDRF personnel was also ordered, along with providing life jackets to the devotees.
The Chief Minister stated that devotees should have uninterrupted access to all basic amenities, including drinking water, toilets, electricity, and lighting. In view of the heat, instructions were also given to ensure adequate drinking water throughout the district. Emphasis was also placed on making proper parking arrangements so that devotees do not have to walk long distances for darshan.
He directed the security of devotees’ belongings, the promotion of government schemes through billboards, and the strengthening of law and order. He emphasized the need to take strict action against cow smuggling and illegal activities and to reach the masterminds.
The meeting also emphasized the timely and quality completion of development projects, the resolution of old revenue disputes, the resolution of problems through dialogue with public representatives and entrepreneurs, and the provision of land to new investors.
