South cinema’s superstar Vijay Sethupathi is in the headlines these days over an alleged sexual harassment on social media. Now for the first time Vijay Sethupathi has broken his silence on this entire matter. He clearly said that such allegations do not affect him, because he has full faith in his truth.
In an interview, Vijay Sethupathi has completely nixed the allegations of sexual harassment against him. He told that his team has taken this matter seriously and lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell.
Vijay said, “For those who really know me, these allegations are completely absurd. I know very well who I am and what my truth is. Such ugly allegations cannot shake me, but yes, my family and close friends have been hurt by this. I just tell them that there is no need to panic, everything will be fine.”
Vijay Sethupathi further said, “This woman just wants to attract attention. If she wants fame for a few moments, then let her have it. We have lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell regarding this matter. For the last seven years, I have been facing many such rumors and whispers. Neither did they have any effect on me then, nor will they have in the future.” It is worth noting that Vijay was accused of sexual harassment by a woman named Ramya Mohan on X.
In fact, a woman named Ramya Mohan had shared a post on the social media platform X, making serious allegations against Vijay Sethupathi. She had claimed that the actor sexually exploited a young woman and hid his true identity behind his ‘saintly image’ in the film industry.
The post also stated that Vijay had allegedly offered a girl Rs 2 lakh for a ‘caravan favour’ and Rs 50,000 for a ‘drive’. Ramya also alleged that things like drugs and exploitation are common in the film industry. Though the post has been deleted now, it had gone viral on social media by then.
