Varanasi, August 19: The court of Chief Justice Magistrate (CJM) II has ordered the Cantt police to file a case against four people including the Bhojpuri actor, singer Pawan on Tuesday.
The court has given this order on the application of hotel and travel businessman Vishal Singh. The businessman has alleged fraud of Rs 1.25 crore through an application.
According to the application given by businessman Vishal Singh, resident of Nadesar of Cantt police station area, when he went to Mumbai to study, he met a husband-wife named Premshankar Rai and Seema Rai. Both used to say that they were associated with film production. Both kept proposing to me for investing in the film. Both used to come to his residence in Mumbai also. Both arranged his meeting with Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh in his office in Varanasi. Getting convinced by both of them, Vishal deposited Rs 38 lakh on several dates from his and his brother’s partnership company Riddhika Enterprises’ account in the account of their company Shreyas Film Pvt. Ltd.
Adding further, he told that after this, the shooting of Bhojpuri film Boss started in November 2018. After this, a conversation took place with Prem Shankar, Seema Rai, Pawan Singh and their associate Arvind Choubey at Hotel City Inn in Nadesar. All of them together gave a document on the company’s letterhead regarding the expenses and share of the film. In which Vishal Singh was shown as the producer of the film and it was written that 50 percent of the profit would be given to the producer, 25 percent to the co-producer, 20 percent to the actor and 5 percent to the director. After getting the contract letter, the shooting of the film took place. Vishal bore all the expenses of this film of about Rs 1.25 crore. Apart from this, he also paid the hotel and travel agency bills. After the film was made, he did not get any profit. He got the information that the film has been sold. There has also been a profit of crores of rupees. In this, he was not given his share of investment.
Accusing the actor of threatening to kill on asking for the money, he informed that he gave an application to register an FIR in Varanasi Cantt police station. But no action was taken on it. After this, he took recourse to the court. After hearing the application, the court ordered to register a case against the concerned accused. On the order of the court, a case will be registered against actor Pawan Singh, Prem Shankar Rai, Seema Rai and one other.
