Lucknow, March 18: On the completion of nine years of the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that whatever transformation has taken place in the state in these nine years has been possible only under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi. This is the result of the cooperation of the Bharatiya Janata Party workers and the public. In these nine years, Uttar Pradesh has transformed from a bottleneck to a breakthrough state.
To mark the completion of nine years of the BJP government under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, a program titled “Nine years of Reconstruction” was organized at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday.
On this occasion, a booklet of achievements titled “Nine years of Reconstruction” was also released. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that previously, as soon as a job advertisement was published in the state, all the people from the Mahabharata era would come out with bags of extortion money. Now, work done focusing on infrastructure, jobs, employment, women, the welfare of Dalits, the deprived, and the poor has given Uttar Pradesh its identity again.
He said that over the next nine days, programs will be organized across the state on various themes. We will also deliberate on our vision for the future. We will brainstorm about the work done over the past nine years and then reach out to the public. These programs will continue to focus on all these issues for nine days.
He appealed for discussions among youth, workers, the poor, and women. Tomorrow is a festival. We are happy. There is no fear. Improved security has brought about a significant change. Today, people are visiting temples on New Year’s Day and festivals.
Chief Minister Yogi said that during his first government, 30,000 police personnel were recruited. For training, we only had a training center with a capacity of 3,000. He also spoke with the central government, but recruitment was not possible. The matter was being hampered due to the court’s injunction. We urged that recruitment be completed with respect for the court. 30,000 youth were given jobs. PAC battalions have been formed in the names of three brave women. Every district has a cyber police station and a help desk.
Chief Minister Yogi said that before 2017, it was difficult to tell whether there was a pothole in the road or a road in the pothole. Today, connectivity in the North has improved. Villages, tehsils, districts, and state headquarters have been connected. The country’s first ropeway is being built in Kashi. Today, Uttar Pradesh has 16 domestic airports and four international airports. Uttar Pradesh has become an infrastructure state. Previously, no investors came. From 1947 to 2017, there were only 14,000 industries. Today, there are more than 31,000 industries, employing more than 6.5 million people. 9.6 million MSME units are operating in Uttar Pradesh.
Yogi said that previous chief ministers didn’t visit Noida. They were afraid of losing their positions. As soon as he became Chief Minister, he went to Noida.
He said, “Whether I keep my position or lose it, I will definitely go to Noida.” Today, factories are established in Noida. Mobile phones are being manufactured there. Today, groundbreakings worth ₹15 lakh crore have been done in Uttar Pradesh. The agricultural growth rate has increased from 8.5 to 18 percent. Farmers have been paid ₹316,895 crore for sugarcane. Shortage has stopped. Farmers are no longer being cheated. Daughters are being given jobs. We have not considered caste, creed, or region. Schemes have been implemented for everyone. More than 16 million children study in Basic Education Council schools. Like convent schools, they are being provided uniforms, shoes, and school bags. Toilets and drinking water have been provided. For the first time, a scholarship scheme has been implemented for children studying Sanskrit. He has broken away from the “One District Mafia” and implemented the “ODOP” and “One District One Medical College” schemes.
At the event, Union Minister of State for Finance and Uttar Pradesh BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary said that nine years ago, the people of Uttar Pradesh removed the Meva people and gave power to those who served. They removed the rioters and put the Ganga people in power. Even today, they (the opposition) fail to understand. In nine years, the BJP’s Yogi government has transformed the entire state. When a poor person’s family was struck by illness, they became even poorer. The government worked under Chief Minister Yogi’s leadership and came to power in 2022. Thanks to the work done in these five years, the BJP will once again form a government in Uttar Pradesh in 2027.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “Congratulations to the people of the state on the completion of nine years of good governance. Today is a very important day for the state. I remember 2016-17 when we launched a decisive battle against the then Samajwadi Party government. Akhilesh Yadav, who served as Chief Minister from 1992 to 1997, had ruined the state by the time he left office. Akhilesh Yadav deceived everyone. Entrepreneurs were reluctant to invest in the state.” Today there is a competition for investment. Today we are saying with full confidence that in 2027, BJP will form the government with a bigger victory than in 2017. Akhilesh Yadav should stop dreaming Mungeri Lal’s sweet dreams.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that nine years ago, on entering the state, upon seeing broken roads, people used to say that Uttar Pradesh has arrived. Electricity was available only in a few districts. In the rest of the state, there was electricity for one week at night and one week during the day. Law and order was bad. It was said that UP is a state of goons. The number of medical colleges has more than tripled. Vehicles do not jerk on the roads from east to west in the state. Today, daughters can go out even at night. Earlier, daughters were called home after five o’clock. Today, everything has changed in the state.
