Lucknow, February 8: The Budget Session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly begins on Monday, February 9th. Several meetings were held on Sunday prior to the Budget Session. These included an important meeting of the Business Advisory Committee, and an all-party meeting of representatives from all political parties was held in the Assembly premises, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The schedule for the Budget Session has already been released by Pradeep Kumar Dubey, Principal Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
According to this schedule, the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly session will begin on Monday, February 9th at 11 am with an address by Governor Anandiben Patel. On this occasion, the Governor will address a joint session of both houses. Following this, formal business will be conducted as per the proposed agenda. On February 10th, the proceedings will be adjourned after the reading of the notices regarding the demise of members of the Legislative Assembly.
According to the schedule, the budget for the financial year 2026-27 will be presented in the Legislative Assembly at 11 am on February 11. Following the presentation of the budget, discussion on the Governor’s address will begin. A motion of thanks will also be discussed on February 12th. Following the discussion on February 13th, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will present his reply to this discussion. Departmental budget proposals will be discussed in the House from February 16th to 20th.
The Yogi Adityanath government is expected to present a large budget this time. It is expected that the budget will emphasize the advancement of public welfare schemes. The budget may provide adequate budgetary provisions to make various schemes for the benefit of youth, farmers, the poor and needy, and women more effective.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya held a meeting on the eve of the budget session. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a meeting with senior police officers of the state at the Vidhan Bhavan. In the meeting, issues related to law and order of the state were reviewed in detail and necessary guidelines were given.
Meeting of the Business Advisory Committee was held today before the budget session. In the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Chairman of Legislative Council Kunwar Manvendra Singh, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, National President of Nishad Party and Cabinet Minister of the Government Dr. Sanjay Nishad etc. discussed for effective proceedings and smooth functioning of the Legislative Assembly.
In view of the budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, changes have been made to the traffic system in Lucknow city during this period. These changes are being implemented in the Legislative Assembly and surrounding areas. The traffic department has issued a traffic diversion plan. The local administration has imposed prohibitory orders in the Legislative Assembly and surrounding areas to prevent any kind of protest. Adequate police force will also be deployed for security.
