Mirzapur, November 4: The Cloud of controversy is once again looming over the under-construction Adani Power Plant located in Dadri Khurd, Madihan tehsil area of โโMirzapur district in Uttar Pradesh as the district forest department has closed the main road to the plant due to the illegal construction of the road on forest land. The department has also banned the entry of plant personnel and vehicles.
According to information, the road leading to the Adani Power Plant passes through forest land, for which a departmental NOC (No Objection Certificate) has not yet been obtained. Despite this, power plant employees were forcibly constructing a road in the forest area.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Ranger Devendra Singh Negi personally arrived at the scene, stood on the road, stopped the personnel and workers, and turned everyone back. The ranger clarified that no vehicle or person will be allowed to pass through the forest land until legal permission is obtained.
According to the ranger, following a recent high-level meeting of the Forest Department, it was decided that the ban on entry of power plant vehicles and employees into the Dadri Khurd forest range area will continue for the time being.
