UP Cabinet Meeting: National Security Guard hub to be built in Ayodhya, govt approves 8 acres of land to Union Home Ministry

Lucknow, July 3: Many important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting of the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh held in Lok Bhavan on Thursday.

In the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a proposal has been approved to build a National Security Guard (NSG) hub center for the security of Ayodhya district and surrounding areas. NSG hub will be established in Ayodhya in view of the security arrangements of Ayodhya and border sensitive establishments. For this, a proposal to allocate 8 acres of land (Nazul land) on a lease of 99 years in favor of the Home Department of the Government of India has been approved.

Apart from this, the responsibility of operating the Jai Prakash Narayan International Center (JPNIC) was handed over to the Lucknow Development Authority.

After the meeting, Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said that the Yogi Cabinet has approved handing over the Jai Prakash Narayan International Center (JPNIC) to the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA).

The Akhilesh government of the Samajwadi Party had constructed JPNIC by spending about Rs 800 crore. The Yogi Cabinet has dissolved the JPNIC Society formed by the SP government for its operation. Now the Lucknow Development Authority will operate and maintain it.

Finance Minister Khanna said that the construction of a 49.96 km link expressway has been approved to connect the Agra-Lucknow Expressway to the Purvanchal Expressway in Lucknow district. This expressway will be built at a cost of Rs 4776 crore. Apart from this, the proposal for the New Industrial Township Scheme under the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) area has been approved. The cabinet has also approved the land related proposal for the development of BIDA in Bundelkhand.

Khanna told that under the Promotion Policy for Industrial Investment in Uttar Pradesh, the proposal to issue subsidy and letter of comfort to companies has been approved. The proposal of the Department of Labor and Employment has also been passed. The proposal to form ‘Uttar Pradesh Employment Mission’ has been approved in the cabinet meeting. Under this, a target has been set to employ 25 to 30 thousand unemployed outside the country and about one lakh unemployed in the state in the private sector in the coming one year.

In the cabinet meeting, the proposal to amend the rules regarding women workers working in factories has been approved. The proposal regarding the mandatory purchase of goods produced in the corporations under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department has been approved. 11 types of manufactured goods are purchased by the corporations. The proposal regarding taking the services of ex-servicemen and home guards directly from Uttar Pradesh Ex-Servicemen Welfare Corporation Limited other than the Gem portal has been approved. Ex-servicemen have also been included in this.

A proposal for creating an Integrated Financial Management System was placed before the Cabinet by the Finance Department. This proposal has also been approved. For the purpose of increasing revenue and changing the tax structure of the Transport Department, the proposal to amend Section 4 and Section 4(9) of the Uttar Pradesh Motor Vehicles Taxation Act 1997 was approved. A provision for one-time tax will be made. Along with this, the proposal to increase the retirement age of the personnel of Uttar Pradesh Bhasha Sansthan from 58 years to 60 years was approved.
