UP BJP to organise major programmes across state on completion of 150 yrs of ‘Vande Mataram’

Lucknow, November 1: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organise major programmes at 18 places across state to mark the completion of 150 years of India’s national song ‘Vande Mataram’.

An important meeting in this regard was held at the party’s state headquarters on Saturday under the chairmanship of State BJP President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and in the presence of State General Secretary (Organisation) Dharampal Singh.

Addressing the meeting, State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary said that “Vande Mataram” is not just a song, it is the soul of our nation, which ignited the flame of patriotism in crores of people during the freedom movement. Today, our aim should be to rekindle the same sentiment.” He said that party workers will have to participate extensively in the celebrations to be held on November 7th to mark the 150th anniversary of India’s national song, “Vande Mataram.”

Discussing the outline of upcoming campaigns, State General Secretary Organization Dharampal Singh said that the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram is a “festival of reaffirmation of cultural nationalism,” and that every worker must play an active role in this. He explained that the party will organize various programs across the state starting November 7th to mark the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. He said that simultaneous programs related to the “Vande Mataram” campaign will be held at 18 locations across the state. We should begin preparations for these programs now.

State Vice President Trimbak Tripathi has been appointed as the state coordinator of the campaign. The meeting discussed the party’s ongoing “Self-Reliant India Campaign,” the party’s programs being organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and the 150th anniversary of India’s national song, “Vande Mataram.” Preparations for the events to be held on November 7th were discussed in detail.

State officials, regional presidents, district presidents, district in-charges, and coordinators of various campaigns attended the meeting. The meeting was conducted by the party’s state general secretary, Govind Narayan Shukla.
