Kanpur, May 14: An engineer died after getting a hair transplant in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The engineer’s family met DCP West Dinesh Tripathi on Wednesday to file a case against the doctor. They accused the female doctor of wrong treatment. They also submitted evidence to the DCP, on which he has ordered the Chief Medical Officer to investigate.
Farrukhabad resident engineer Mayank Katiyar’s mother Pramodini told the Deputy Commissioner (DCP) that her son got a hair transplant done by a female doctor resident of Kalyanpur, Kanpur on November 18 last year. It is alleged that after getting the hair transplant done, the engineer started having headaches and swelling on his face started increasing. When the doctor was contacted, she said that everything is fine, there is nothing to worry about. But when the condition worsened, the doctor advised to consult a cardiologist. Mayank died on the morning of November 19 2024.
The family alleged that the doctor not only gave him the wrong treatment, but also blocked his number after his death.
Mayank’s brother Kushagra Katiyar said that earlier a case has been filed against the female doctor in the case of the death of engineer Vineet Dubey. When we came to know about this, we decided to complain to the police. My brother was completely healthy. The doctor’s wrong treatment killed him. We want a case to be filed against the doctor and strict action should be taken so that no other family has to go through this pain. On the other hand,
Deputy Commissioner of Police West Dinesh Tripathi said that the complaint of the family and the evidence presented have been sent to the Chief Medical Officer for investigation. Further legal action will be taken only after receiving the investigation report from there.
It is worth noting that Vineet Dubey, posted as Assistant Engineer in Panki Power Plant, also got hair transplant done from the accused female doctor on March 12. After this Vineet died. In that case, a case has been registered against the woman doctor in Rawatpur police station.
