Lucknow, July 7: The Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Kirti Vardhan Singh’s father and former minister Anand Singh passed away in Lucknow late on Sunday night. The last journey will be completed today (7 July) at 3 pm at residence Mankapur Kot, Gonda. Union Minister of State Kirti Vardhan Singh has given this information on his social media account.

He wrote, “It is with great sadness that I have to inform you all that tonight my father, everyone’s guardian (Anand Singh), former minister of Uttar Pradesh and former MP has passed away. Father’s death is an irreparable loss of my life. Father’s last journey will be completed today at 3 pm at my residence Mankapur Kot, Gonda. “

Anand Singh was the Agriculture Minister in the Samajwadi Party (SP) government of Uttar Pradesh. Before this, he was in the Congress party and was an MP from Gonda parliamentary constituency four times. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav have expressed condolences on his demise.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote on Twitter that the demise of Union Minister of State Kirti Vardhan Singh’s father and former minister and former MP Anand Singh is extremely sad. Humble tribute! I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed soul in his lotus feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense sorrow.

SP national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav expressed grief on his demise and wrote that the death of former minister of UP government, former MP Gonda resident Raja Anand Singh is extremely sad! May God give peace to his soul. Deep condolences to the bereaved family.
