Gonda, 03 August: So far, 11 people died in a road accident in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. 15 people in the car were going to Prithvi Nath temple in a Bolero car.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced ex gratia of โน five lakh to the families of the deceased.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) said that the Bolero overturned after going out of control near Rehra Belwa Bahuta canal in Itiyathok police station area. Four people have been rescued in the accident, including three children and a driver. 11 people have died. The bodies are being taken out of the canal.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his condolences in the accident. He has immediately instructed the officials to reach the spot and carry out relief and rescue work.
District Magistrate and police officials have reached after receiving the information. The Chief Minister has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
