Two injured in firing b/w two groups of lawyers over old dispute in Lucknow

Lucknow, May 25: Firing took place near the workshop at Kaiserbagh bus stand in Wazirganj police station area on Saturday night in which two people have been injured.

According to the Lucknow Police because of an old enmity, firing took place between two groups of lawyers in the advocate chamber near the Residency. The injured have been admitted to the Trauma Center.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West Vishwajeet Srivastava said on Sunday that police probe has revealed that the two youths who have been shot are advocates Kunwar Ambika Singh and Saqib Hasan. Both are undergoing treatment at the Trauma Center.

DCP further informed that an investigation has revealed that Kunwar Ambika Singh was sitting in the chamber of his relative Dilip Singh near the Residency at the Workshop Tiraha near the Kaiserbagh bus stand last night. Then advocate Saqib Hasan, a resident of Malihabad, reached there with his friends and started quarreling with them as an old dispute between the two are going on. The matter escalated so much that a shot was fired. Both of them got injured in this. Further action will be taken on the basis of the complaint. Police are scanning the CCTV cameras installed around the incident spot.
