Bijapur, May 21: In an encounter that took place on Wednesday morning in Boter area of ​​Abujhmad under the border area of ​​Narayanpur, Bijapur and Dantewada in Chhattisgarh, security forces have killed 27 Naxalites so far, including top Politburo member and Naxalite Nambala Keshav Rao alias Bashav Raju, who had a bounty of Rs. 1.5 crore on his head. Many other big cadre Naxalites are likely to be killed or injured. One District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawan has been martyred during the encounter.
Bastar IG Sundarraj P. confirmed that many weapons along with the bodies of 27 Naxalites have been recovered from the encounter site.

The head of the Naxalite organization operating across the country and the General Secretary of the Naxalite organization, Nambala Keshav Rao alias Basava Raju alias Gaganna, has been killed by DRG soldiers in the encounter.

He said that the DRG soldiers have created history on the Naxal front. The top leadership of the Naxalite organization, which was being searched by the security agencies across the country, has been killed by the DRG soldiers.
According to information received from the police, based on information about the presence of members of the central committee and polit bureau of the Naxalites, senior cadres of Maad division and PLGA cadres, DRG teams from Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur and Kondagaon left for anti-Naxal operation in Abujhmad. After all the facts and information received from this anti-Naxal operation which has been going on continuously for the past several days, it is estimated that during this operation many senior cadres of Naxalites have either been killed or have been seriously injured. Till now, bodies of 27 Naxalites and many weapons have been recovered during this operation.
