Lucknow, December 24: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath raised the issue of the killing and persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh in the winter session of the Assembly today.

Pointing towards the opposition, he said that you only shed tears for Gaza and organize candle marches, but when Hindus are oppressed in Pakistan and Bangladesh, your mouths remain shut.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath voiced concerns during the discussion on the supplementary budget in the Assembly, saying that ‘Samajwadi Party leaders view Dalits as a vote bank, hence they do not say anything. How was a Dalit youth burnt in Bangladesh? Samajwadi Party members shed a lot of tears for the Gaza Strip, but their leaders remain silent on the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is the truth that it is the policy of appeasement due to which Bangladesh was created. If Bangladesh and Pakistan had not been created then Hindus would not have been burnt like this. If it had been created then they also know what would have happened to them.’

Chief Minister Yogi, showing a stern attitude, told the opposition that ‘Remember, when we drive out Bangladeshis and Rohingyas from here, don’t come in their support. SP people have committed the sin of getting Aadhar cards made for many Bangladeshis. We will take very effective action. Crimes are being committed against our own people living in our own country and innocent Hindus and Sikhs are being tortured there.’

After the speech of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey said that we demand that the Government of India take effective action on the Bangladesh issue.
