Lucknow, 23 November: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Rao Bhagwat said that the days of invasion are over, we are going to hoist the flag on Ram Mandir. Know yourself. Understand what we are as a country. India was the world guru. It was adorned with many kingdoms. There were Chakravarti emperors. India was the strength of the world.

Mohan Bhagwat was addressing the Divine “Gita Prerna Utsav” organized by Gita Parivar at Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow on Sunday.

On this occasion, Dr Bhagwat said that India was trampled under the feet of invaders for a thousand years. We had to live under slavery. Religious places were destroyed. Forced conversions began, but even then India existed. Now the days of invasions are over. We are about to hoist the flag on the Shri Ram Temple.

Bhagwat said that the Gita is the essence of the wisdom accumulated in India through the experiences of life for ages. The Gita must be lived. We must establish a routine of reading the Gita. He urged people to read two verses daily and meditate on them. Apply their essence to their lives. If we correct each shortcoming in our lives, our lives will progress towards becoming Gita-like within a year. He said that the Gita should be read and understood. Every time you discover something new in the Gita, solutions to every situation are always found in it.

The Sarsanghchalak said that today the whole world is in a state of fear and delusion, struggling for a way out in the battlefield of life. There is no morality, no peace, no satisfaction, and therefore, no rest. This is the situation. We need the right path. The world will find the right path from India, because such is India’s life tradition. During his time in power, he transformed the entire world into a world of happiness and peace.

Bhagwat said that instead of living in the face of injustice and falsehood, even a moment’s existence brings incalculable fame. We will continue to draw inspiration from the lives of revolutionaries like Chandrashekhar for ages to come. Success and failure are irrelevant. A person’s thoughts need to be noble. The foundation needs to be right, the workers need to be skilled, and the work methodology needs to be right. Along with all this, fate is also a matter of concern. Don’t worry about it. Strive for your efforts. Effort changes destiny. Don’t worry about fame or infamy. If you fight, fight for the sake of dharma, not out of enmity.

RSS chief said that even small work done selflessly is dharma. Dharma means the dharma that upholds society. The dharma that sustains everyone. Even if it means sacrificing personal interests for the welfare of all, we must not back down. Therefore, without worrying about fame or infamy, we must fight to protect dharma. We will give the world the message of sacrifice and service. Therefore, perform your duties with devotion. This is the message of the Gita.

In the program, Swami Gyananand Maharaj welcomed Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by presenting them a copy of the Gita. The coordinator of the program, Mani Prasad Mishra, delivered the welcome address.
