Lucknow, March 2: A teenager, 13, celebrating his birthday party died after being shot accidentally late Monday evening in the Krishna Nagar police station area of โโLucknow, police informed.
The family has, however, alleged that their son was murdered. Based on the family’s complaint, the police have detained three of the teenager’s friends and begun questioning them.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South said that the Krishna Nagar police station received information that Jameer, a resident of Transport Nagar in Sarojini Nagar, had taken his son, Unaiz (12), with him to celebrate his birthday party. A short time later, news came that his son had been injured by a gunshot and was taken to Lok Bandhu hospital for the treatment.
The DCP South added when the family arrived at the scene, they found their son dead. The family has filed a case against three youths, claiming it a murder. The police have detained three people and begun an investigation into the matter.
