Lucknow, June 13: Kartik Pandey, a student of Lucknow University, has demanded action on the objectionable post of Associate Professor Ravikant of Lucknow University. Associate Professor Ravikant has said that women like Muskan and Sonam Raghuvanshi are the product of Sanghi ideology.
Kartik Pandey, a resident of Vibhavkhand, Gomti Nagar and a student of Lucknow University, demanding action against Associate Professor Ravikant Chandan, said that Associate Professor Ravikant has made objectionable comments about the Sangh on Facebook and social media platforms. The comments posted on his Facebook are not only defamatory, but also reflect hatred against communal harmony and democratic processes. This act of his is provoking and inciting. For this, he has given an application to register an FIR against Associate Professor Ravikant in Hasanganj police station.
Senior advocate Dilip Pathak said in favour of student Kartik Pandey that Hasanganj police should immediately take action against Associate Professor Ravikant for making such comments. FIR should be lodged against him and arrest action should be taken. His demand is that the senior officers of Lucknow Commissionerate Police should take cognizance and take action against the Associate Professor for bringing up the name of the Sangh and adding it to a defamatory place.
In this regard, Inspector in-charge of Hasanganj police station Amar Singh told that he has come to know about the above case. Some people including students and advocates have come and given a written complaint on the objectionable post of Associate Professor Ravikant of Lucknow University. This matter will be investigated. Only after this any action can be taken.
