Lucknow/Gorakhpur, November 10: The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a major announcement for schools across the state during the ‘Ekta Padyatra’ in Gorakhpur on Monday.

Chief Minister said that regular and compulsory singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ will be ensured in all schools in Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi said that nothing is more important than the nation, and ‘Vande Mataram’ is a symbol of our cultural identity and national spirit. There is no point in opposing ‘Vande Mataram’. Nothing is more important than the nation. For some people, religion and sect are paramount.

He reminded that ‘Vande Mataram’ has completed 150 years and any attempt to change it will not be successful.

Addressing a gathering at Rani Lakshmibai Park, the Chief Minister said that attempts are being made to divide people in the name of caste and language. An attempt is being made to create a new Jinnah. No Jinnah will be born in India now. If Jinnah is born, he will have to be buried.

Chief Minister said, “I salute Sardar Patel. Sardar Patel’s statue is the tallest in the world. It is the symbol of India’s unity, guiding all of India as the ‘Iron Man.'”
