Director Priyadarshan’s much-awaited film ‘Hera Pheri 3’ has been in the headlines for a long time. Initially, there were reports of actor Paresh Rawal leaving the film, but now it has been confirmed that he is returning to the iconic character of ‘Babu Bhaiya’ again on this, actor Sunil Shetty said that I will not say much before the release of the film, because it gets ‘nazar lag jaaye’.

Meanwhile, Sunil Shetty, who is playing the role of Shyam in the film, spoke openly in an interview about his co-stars and the memes going viral on the internet.

He said that ‘Hera Pheri’ is not just a film, but an emotion, and it is still alive because of the fans. Sunil also jokingly admitted that he himself laughs at the Babu Bhaiya memes and these memes strengthen the legacy of this franchise.

Sunil Shetty refreshed the memories of ‘Hera Pheri’ and said, “All the funny dialogues and punchlines in the film are the gift of Priyadarshan sir. We just did a little improvisation, but he wrote every line himself.” He further said, “I have never seen a director like Priyadarshan. His grasp of comedy is amazing. He sees and understands even those things which are usually beyond our grasp. He is truly a genius of comedy.”

Sunil Shetty recently confirmed the news of Paresh Rawal’s return in the film. He said, “Yes, yes, he is in the film and I am really excited. But as I said earlier, I will not say much before the release of the film, because it can get affected by evil eye. Sometimes we look at ourselves in a good or bad light.”

He also told how the character of ‘Shyam’ has become a new identity for him, “Nowadays children know me only by the character of Shyam. If a mother asks her 8-year-old child if he recognizes me, he refuses. But as soon as the name of Hera Pheri is taken, a smile comes on his face. Today I am not known by the name of Sunil Shetty, but by the name of Shyam of ‘Hera Pheri’.”

Sunil Shetty expressed his opinion on the current level of comedy in the film industry and said, “‘Hera Pheri’ is not a light-hearted thing. It is a situational comedy. If my life is getting ruined, then what dialogue will I say in such a situation? Actually, the reactions of the characters make these scenes funny.”

Taking a dig at the scripts of current films, he said, “The comedy shown in today’s films seems like WhatsApp jokes. They lack real writing and emotions.”
