Lucknow, 23 November: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while addressing the “Gita Prerna Utsav” on Sunday, said that Shrimad Bhagwad Gita is the divine mantra for 140 crore Indians. It paves the way for success in life as well as the path to the art of living. Every person should make it a part of his life.
Chief Minister said in the program organized at Janeshwar Mishra Park that every ‘Sanatan Dharma’ follower of India tries to assimilate the 700 verses of 18 chapters of Geeta with respect, considering them as the mantra of life. Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta seems to be giving new inspiration. The Bhagavad Gita begins with Dharma and concludes with the same theme. The Bhagavad Gita is the true inspiration of Dharma. India’s wisdom has linked Dharma with duty. We have not considered Dharma merely a method of worship. Methods of worship are a small part of it. Individuals define their faith according to their sect, denomination, and method of worship, but primarily, Dharma is the art of living. We have called it the “Way of Life.”
Congratulating Swami Gyananand, the Chief Minister said that he has attempted to present the Gita in every aspect of life through small examples. He has presented the Gita’s inspiration for workers, farmers, women, students, youth, employed people, doctors, lawyers, businessmen, warriors, and soldiers through the Bhagavad Gita. His small books are extremely inspiring.
CM Yogi said that the Bhagavad Gita is the divine words of God. The CM recited the shloka ‘Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra Samaveta Yuyutsavaha’.
He said that it may not have happened anywhere in the world where the battlefield is known as Dharmakshetra, but we have considered every duty with a sacred feeling. If we do good then it is a virtue and if we do wrong then we will become a partner in sin. Believing this, every follower of Sanatan Dharma tries to do good. India has given a message to the world humanity since ancient times. We have never said that what I am saying is everything or our method of worship is the best. Despite having everything, we never boasted of our superiority. We gave shelter to whoever came. Whoever faced adversity and challenge, the follower of Sanatan Dharma stood up to help him.
The RSS did not compromise on service
CM Yogi said that standing with every suffering person with a sense of nation first (which can help elevate India to ultimate glory) is the inspiration of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The RSS has not compromised on service in the last 100 years, but some people, both globally and in India, have used service as a means of bargaining. They are attempting to alter India’s demographics through greed, coercion, and pressure, by resorting to deceit and hypocrisy, altering its fabric and attacking India’s very soul. In these circumstances, the words of the Lord, the Bhagavad Gita, can serve as a new inspiration.
Yogi stated that when ambassadors and high commissioners from around the world ask us if we have any connection with the RSS, we say yes! We have served as volunteers. They ask about its funding pattern, and we explain that OPEC countries or the International Church do not provide funding. The organization is being built with the support of society and works dedicatedly for society in every field. Every volunteer considers it their duty to serve any victim, regardless of their caste, religion, region, or language.
