Chandigarh, May 19: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has objected to YouTuber Dhruv Rathi’s video on Sikh Gurus. Dhruv Rathi made animations of Sikh Gurus, martyred warriors and their family members with artificial intelligence in the video made on the story of Banda Singh Bahadur. Along with this, Banda Singh Bahadur has also been described as Robin Hood.
The Shimori Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Grewal said in a statement on Monday that Sikhs do not need Dhruv Rathi’s AI based video to know their history. Dhruv Rathi has distorted many important historical facts related to the martyrdom of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
Meanwhile, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has lodged a complaint against Dhruv Rathi with Delhi Police. Delhi Government Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Dhruv Rathi has insulted Sikh history and sentiments. Showing Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji as a crying child is an insult to the soul of Sikhism. Manjinder Singh Sirsa says that Delhi Police should file an FIR against Dhruv Rathi.
After this controversy, Dhruv Rathi said on social media that people of the Sikh community say that showing Sikh Gurus in animation in the video is wrong. People can give me their opinion on social media. After this I will delete the video or take some other action.
