Several areas of Lucknow to be without water on Nov 10, affecting 1 million people

Lucknow, November 8: Several areas of the Lucknow, will face water crisis on November 10. According to the Water Department, repair work will be carried out on the raw water main feeder pipeline near Girdhar Lal Mathur Road and Musahibganj this coming Monday from 9am to 5pm due to this, water supply from the Gaughat pumping station to the Aishbagh Jalkal will be suspended.

This information was provided by Kuldeep Singh, GM of the Jalkal Department, on Saturday.

He stated that approximately 1 million people living in these areas will be affected due to this repair work. The affected areas include Aishbagh, Rajajipuram, Nakkhas, Kaiserbagh, Lalbagh, Maulviganj, Naka Hindola, Hazratganj (partial) and surrounding areas.

He appealed to the citizens to store the required water in advance for November 9 and 10, so that they do not have to face the problem of water shortage.

The GM said that repair work is necessary so that water supply can be improved in future.

He said that during this period, the department has issued helpline numbers 8177054100, 8177054003, 8177054010 and toll-free 1533 for any complaint. The department has appealed to the people not to misuse water and to maintain restraint.
