Security guard killed with an axe in Lucknow, probe on

Lucknow, June 28: A youth was murdered with an axe late Friday night in Madehganj police station in Lucknow, police said.

Police reached at the crime scene after getting the information and started the investigation. After identifying the deceased, the body has been sent for postmortem.

Sabir Ali, who worked as a security guard in Mumbai, was murdered with an axe late Friday night in the capital Lucknow. Raebareli resident Munna and his associates are accused of the murder. Sabir was originally a resident of Naya Purwa, Nirala Nagar in Raebareli. He was accused of killing Munna’s son Pappu. Police have registered a murder case against Munna and other unknown people.

Giving information about the incident on Saturday, DCP Central Ashish Srivastava said that information about the murder of a young man was received at 2.30 am in Khadra of Madehganj police station area. Police reached the spot, took the body in their possession and started identifying the deceased. During the search, a mobile was found near the body. On making a call from that mobile, Wasim, a resident of Raebareli, identified the deceased as his brother Sabir.

Wasim told the police that in 2017, Sabir went to jail for the murder of Munna’s son Pappu. Sabir was released on bail. He alleged that Munna called Sabir to Khadra and killed him along with his associates.

Police station in-charge Rajesh Singh said that the police have found a chopper and a knife from the spot. The family of the deceased living in Raebareli has been informed about the incident. On receiving the information, brother Wasim and Raebareli police are coming. The murderers are being searched.
