Sambhal, 30 December: So far, 22 houses and shops have been found occupying the graveyard land located near Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. After receiving a complaint of illegal occupation on this land, the district administration got the entire land measured today under heavy security.

After examining the legal status of this measurement, the administration has come to know that 22 people have built houses and shops on this land, all of which are completely constructed on the graveyard land and action will be taken against them soon after hearing their side.
A complaint regarding illegal occupation of graveyard land located near the Shahi Jama Masjid in the Sadar Kotwali area of โโSambhal district was lodged by Shri Kalki Sena’s national convenor Subhash Tyagi with District Magistrate Rajendra Pansiya.
A team comprising Naib Tehsildar, Kanungo and 22 Lekhpals was formed today led by Tehsildar Dhirendra Pratap Singh. They reached the graveyard this morning and conducted a measurement, in which 22 shops and houses were found to be illegal.
District Magistrate Sambhal Dr Rajendra Pansiya said that approximately 22 people have illegally occupied this land and they will be issued notices in a constitutional manner and their documents will be sought. If they are successful in producing their documents, further action will be taken after a hearing.
