Veteran Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan, father of Salman Khan, has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai and is currently under close observation in the ICU. The exact reason for his hospitalization has not been disclosed publicly.
He was brought to the hospital on February 17, 2026, by Salman Khan from their Bandstand residence. Other family members, including Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Aayush Sharma, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, and Arpita Khan, have also visited the hospital.
Doctors have shared that Salim Khan, who recently turned 90, is being monitored closely, and a press conference is expected tomorrow to provide further updates.
Salim Khan is considered one of the most respected writers in Hindi cinema and has written the screenplays of many superhit films.
