New Delhi, March 9: The Rajya Sabha on Monday congratulated the Indian team for winning the T20 World Cup.

Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan, on behalf of the Rajya Sabha members, congratulated the victorious Indian team and showered them with praise.

He said that it is a matter of pride for the country that the Indian team has won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The team performed brilliantly in the final played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This is the third time that India has won the tournament title. Interestingly, this is the second consecutive time, as India had also won the trophy in the previous edition.

Radhakrishnan said that this victory is also special because India is the first country to win the T20 World Cup in its own hosting. The team’s excellent performance throughout the tournament has brought immense joy and pride to millions of cricket fans across the country. On behalf of this House, heartfelt congratulations go out to the Indian team players, support staff, and everyone associated with Indian cricket for this remarkable achievement. The House wishes them continued success in the years to come.
