Wayanad, September 20: Former Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday claimed that he has evidence of vote theft, which he will make public soon.

Gandhi said that in the previous press conference, Congress had presented examples of voter list rigging, which included addition and deletion of votes in Mahadevapura and Aland. Accusing Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, he said that the case of an attempt to wrongly delete the names of 6 thousand voters in Aland assembly constituency is under CID investigation, which raises questions on the role of the CEC.
He said that Oommen Chandy remained connected to the people and humble even while in power, whereas many national leaders today become arrogant upon attaining power. He praised Kerala’s democratic system, saying that panchayats are the foundation of politics here and it is a perfect example for the country.
Priyanka Gandhi said that in Wayanad, problems like floods and erosion leave the region isolated. Congress workers are working to build shelters there. She mentioned the challenges of health, connectivity, and education faced by tribal communities, as well as the problems of rice and coffee farmers.
