Ghaziabad, October 26: President Droupadi Murmu said that the country is today rapidly developing in the healthcare sector. The government’s contribution is also important in this. She said that protecting people from disease and providing them with better treatment is the government’s top priority. To this end, the government is continuously developing health infrastructure.
President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday inaugurated Yashoda Medicity, a 1,200-bed hospital with state-of-the-art facilities, located in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.
Upon her arrival, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Anupriya Patel, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak welcomed her.
On this occasion, President Murmu said that she was happy to know that Yashoda Hospital served a large number of people and saved lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She said that this is the first time in his life that he has seen such a state-of-the-art healthcare institution, where all types of healthcare services are provided under one roof. President Murmu said that the country is progressing rapidly in the healthcare sector today, and the government’s contribution is crucial to this.
She stated that protecting people from disease and providing them with better facilities is the government’s top priority. She said that the government is continuously developing health infrastructure to achieve this.
Murmu said that the government’s work in the healthcare sector is making a decisive contribution to a healthy and developed India. Health is everyone’s right, and the government is providing quality healthcare in all areas of the country.
She said that we must ensure that no citizen is deprived of quality healthcare. He appealed to all healthcare institutions in the country to make invaluable contributions to this.
She expressed his hope that Yashoda Medicity will also make a significant contribution to the healthcare sector. He added that a large number of poor people live in the country and they should also have access to healthcare.
To be included in the category of developed countries, it is necessary for every citizen to remain healthy: Rajnath Singh
At the ceremony, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the country’s healthcare system has taken on a new dimension. Previously, health was a concern for the poor, but today, everyone is receiving treatment.
He said that through Ayushman Bharat, 100 million families in the country have been provided with a health insurance cover of โน5 lakh per year. All senior citizens above the age of 70 are included in this scheme, as they are most in need of care at this stage. In such a situation, the government stands by them as a protector.
He said that affordable medicines are being made available to the people through the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana. He said that the number of seats in medical education has been increased significantly. 22 AIIMS have been established in the country, of which 12 are fully operational.
He said that we have to bring India into the category of developed countries. This is a big goal, and for this, it is essential for every citizen to remain healthy. The government is continuously making efforts to achieve this.
42 Medical Colleges Built in Uttar Pradesh in Eight Years: Yogi Adityanath
On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that Yashoda Medicity is a world-class health city and will also provide employment to a large number of people. Yashoda Medicity provides world-class cancer treatment facilities. He stated that 42 medical colleges have been built in Uttar Pradesh in the last eight years and two AIIMS have been established.
He added that many new super-specialty institutions have been established in Uttar Pradesh, providing excellent healthcare services to the 250 million citizens of Uttar Pradesh. He said that due to the efforts of the double-engine government, private sector hospitals are operating under a healthy competition in healthcare.

President inspected the hospital’s equipment
Before reaching the stage, President Murmu toured the hospital premises and learned about the modern equipment and better treatment. On behalf of the management of Yashoda Hospital, Dr. PN Arora welcomed all the guests on the stage. After this, the Chairman of the hospital gave detailed information about the hospital. He said that this is the best Medicity hospital in the world, Yashoda Medicity Hospital was completed in one thousand days. The hospital management told about the facilities available in the hospital.
Strict security arrangements were put in place
Commandos and security forces had camped in the hospital premises yesterday evening for the President’s program. Apart from this, more than two thousand soldiers have been deployed for security arrangements from the venue to the route. Since morning, police and administrative officials inspected the venue several times and reviewed all the arrangements including security.
As part of the tight security arrangements, the Trans Hindon zone was declared a no-drone zone. Meanwhile, traffic was diverted at many places since morning due to the program.
