Prez Murmu accepts VP Jagdeep Dhankhar’s resignation, PM Modi wishes him good health

New Delhi, July 22: President Droupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar from his post. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has underlined his role.

The Home Ministry has issued a notification under Article 67A of the Constitution informing about the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from his post on Monday citing health reasons.

Prime Minister Modi said in an X post today, “Jagdeep Dhankhar ji has had the opportunity to serve the country in many roles including the Vice President of India. I wish him good health.”

It is noteworthy that the resignation of the Vice President at the beginning of the monsoon session of Parliament was a surprise for everyone. After his resignation, speculation has started about the new Vice President.
