Lucknow, December 10: The Yogi Adityanath government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure an unprecedented, organized, and aesthetic look for the Magh Mela-2026.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, preparations for the Magh Mela are nearly complete. Recently, a special discussion was held with the Chief Secretary regarding the unveiling of the logo, sector-wise color scheme, and infrastructure improvements. The administration anticipates 120-150 million devotees will take the holy dip at the Sangam in Prayagraj this year, including millions of Kalpavasis who arrive daily.
The entire fair area will be based on a color-coordinated theme, each sector will create a sense of uniformity. To give the fair a coherent and attractive look, all seven sectors and seven pontoon bridges will be decorated in colors corresponding to the “seven energy chakras.” A 3-foot-wide demarcation strip will be created on the boundary wall of each sector. This will visually enhance the fair’s appearance, creating a clear, organized, and beautiful image. All sectors will feature the Uttar Pradesh government and Magh Mela 2026 logo.
Changing rooms at various ghats will also be designed according to the sector-wise color scheme. Capacity will be doubled compared to the previous year, matching the color scheme. Now, four people will be able to use the facility simultaneously instead of two in a unit. This will facilitate smoother and more convenient crowd management and maintain the fair’s uniformity.
All seven pontoon bridges will be decorated in the seven colors of the rainbow. The lights on the bridges and LED lights on the poles will display religious symbols, creating a focal point both day and night. Color-matched flags will be installed on each bridge. Canopies will be constructed on the bridges for the convenience and safety of travelers.
A state government spokesperson stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that the Magh Mela not only embody religious sentiments but also serve as a model for fairs across the country in terms of cleanliness, security, transportation, medical facilities, and modern infrastructure. Under the Chief Minister’s guidance, the fair administration is committed to providing devotees with a safe, organized, spiritual, and world-class experience.
