PM Modi worships at Brahma Sarovar, participates in the evening ‘aarti’

Chandigarh, November 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a visit to Kurukshetra, performed darshan and puja at Brahma Sarovar and also participated in the International Gita Jayanti celebrations. With chanting of mantras, Prime Minister Modi offered arghya (offering of prayers) and a coconut in the sacred lake, praying for the happiness and prosperity of the country.

Following this, Prime Minister Modi participated in the evening aarti at Brahma Sarovar. Chief Minister Nayab Saini presented the Prime Minister with a copy of the holy book Gita. Gita scholar Swami Gyana Nand briefed the Prime Minister about the event. The Prime Minister then briefly stopped at the venue and congratulated the Chief Minister of Haryana for the continued promotion of Gita Jayanti.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister also posed for a commemorative photo with KDB members and researchers from various countries in front of the chariots of Lord Krishna and Arjuna. This commemorative photo features Haryana Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Union Minister Manohar Lal, and Gita scholar Swami Gyana Nand were also present. The Prime Minister said that Lord Krishna preached the Gita to the entire world from the sacred land of Kurukshetra. The teachings of this sacred text, the Gita, are still relevant to the entire world. Therefore, Kurukshetra has a unique spiritual identity throughout the world.
