PM Modi to visit Arunachal and Tripura tomorrow, to offer prayers at Mata Tripur Sundari temple

New Delhi, September 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit two northeastern states, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura, tomorrow. The Prime Minister will inaugurate development works worth Rs 5100 crore in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

At the same time, he will lay the foundation stone for the development work of Mata Tripur Sundari temple complex in Tripura. He will also address a public programme in Itanagar along with offering prayers at the temple. He will also lay the foundation stone of a state-of-the-art convention centre in Tawang.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for two major hydroelectric projects costing more than Rs 3,700 crore in Itanagar. The Heo Hydroelectric Project (240 MW) and the Tato-I Hydroelectric Project (186 MW) will be developed in the Siyom sub-basin of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a state-of-the-art convention center in Tawang, a religious center in Arunachal Pradesh. Located at an altitude of over 9,820 feet in the border district of Tawang, the center will serve as a key facility for organizing national and international conferences, cultural festivals, and exhibitions. With a capacity to host over 1,500 delegates, the center will meet global standards and boost the tourism and cultural potential of the region.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate several major infrastructure projects costing over โ‚น1,290 crore. The Prime Minister will interact with local taxpayers, traders, and industry representatives in Itanagar on the impact of the new GST rates, which will come into effect tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in Tripura, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the development work of the ‘Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Complex’ at Matabari under the Pilgrimage Revival and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Campaign (PRASAD) scheme. This temple is one of the 51 ancient Shakti Peethas located in Udaipur town of Gomati district of Tripura.

It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister recently visited three northeastern states: Manipur, Mizoram, and Assam.
