PM Modi to lay foundation stone for Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Project on Sep 25

Banswara, September 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Project in Napla village of Banswara district of Rajasthan on September 25.

During this ceremony, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate development projects worth a total of โ‚น1,22,441 crore.

This includes projects worth over โ‚น1,08,000 crore for Rajasthan and 48 development projects worth โ‚น30,000 crore for the state government. The estimated cost of the Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Project is approximately โ‚น42,000 crore. The project will consist of four state-of-the-art 700-MW units with a total capacity of 2,800 MW. The project will produce clean energy without greenhouse gas emissions. The construction and operation of this project will not only strengthen the rural economy but will also move the entire tribal region towards self-reliance.

On this historic occasion, the Prime Minister will also distribute appointment letters for government jobs to 15,000 youth.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Saturday reviewed preparations in Napla, Banswara district, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit.

Chief Minister inspected the stage being constructed at the venue and received detailed information from the local administration regarding seating arrangements, parking, and helipad preparations.

Reviewing security arrangements, he directed officials to ensure that all departments work in coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of this historic event.
