Lucknow, March 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the newly-constructed Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh on March 28.
Chief Minister Yogi made the announcement on Wednesday at a ceremony marking the completion of nine years of his government’s tenure.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing a program organized at Lok Bhavan here today on the occasion on “Nine Years of Reconstruction.” A booklet detailing the state government’s achievements during its nine-year tenure was also released.
Chief Minister Yogi described the Jewar Airport as a game-changer for Uttar Pradesh’s economy, saying it is expected to generate revenues of ₹1 lakh crore in the future.
Taking a dig at previous governments, he said that some people were afraid to go to Noida, but his government went there and created an investment environment. He said that Uttar Pradesh now has a network of 16 domestic and five international airports, with Jewar being the fifth and largest.
Chief Minister Yogi also appealed to the people to share the government’s achievements over the past nine years during the nine days of Navratri, which begins on Thursday.
Chief Minister said that it is the month of Ramadan and Eid is soon to arrive, but there is no fear of unrest or riots anywhere. This is good governance.
Chief Minister said that this celebration of the completion of nine years will continue uninterrupted until Navratri.
He directed public representatives and workers to visit villages and inform poor families, artisans, and women about the government’s beneficial schemes.
He said that we have not viewed the state through the lens of family or caste, but have provided equal opportunities and security to everyone.
He explained that all the changes that have taken place in Uttar Pradesh over the past nine years are the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance and the hard work of the workers.
He announced that two composite schools will be built in each district, and free board and lodging for students studying Sanskrit will soon begin.
