New Delhi, July 29: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday during the discussion on “Operation Sindoor” in Lok Sabha accused the previous Congress-led governments of not taking concrete action against terrorism and said that his government has strengthened the country by making big changes in India’s foreign and defense policy during the last 11 years.
He expressed regret that support was received from the countries of the world on terrorism but not from Congress. He also said that today the masters of terror are afraid of Operation Sindoor that India will come and kill them.
During this, Prime Minister Modi refuted the claim of US President Donald Trump to stop the war between India and Pakistan and took a dig at the opposition that their leaders only raise questions like ‘bayan bahadur’. They question the action taken on the terrorist attack and when the attack happened, they question why the action was stopped.
In his speech, the Prime Minister raised questions on both the foreign policy of Congress and the strategy against terrorism.
He alleged that due to the politics of appeasement, an attempt was made to weaken the country’s fight against terrorism. Even due to vote bank politics, an attempt was made to link the 26/11 attack with Hindu terrorism.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The country is surprised that Congress has given a clean chit to Pakistan. They are saying that the terrorists of Pahalgam were from Pakistan. Give us proof of this. Pakistan is also demanding the same thing that Congress is doing.”
During this time, the Prime Minister mentioned India’s self-reliance in the defense sector and said that Operation Sindoor has made the Make in India weapons famous in the world. He said that Congress had no vision for national security. During their tenure, there was dependence on foreign countries even for small weapons. His government brought about major changes in the defence sector due to which today India’s defence production has increased by 250 percent and exports by 30 times and India’s weapons are reaching 100 countries of the world.
Clearly refuting the claim of US President Donald Trump, he told the House that no leader of the world had asked India to stop its operations. He said that India is not a country of war but of Buddha and we want prosperity and peace but we should not forget that the path to prosperity and peace goes through power.
The Prime Minister said that Congress has always compromised with India’s national security. Today its leaders are asking why the Indian government did not take back Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). They want to ask whose government allowed PoK to be occupied. He said that mistakes of a moment were punished for centuries. India is still paying the price of the wrong decisions of the Congress government after independence.
The Prime Minister said that the terrorists are in a state of fear today because of India’s action against terrorism. He said that after the attack, they are unable to sleep. They are afraid that India will come and kill them. This is the new normal set today. He said that Pakistan was also apprehensive of an attack from India after the terrorist attack. That is why it was also threatening nuclear attack. India acted as per its thinking and Pakistan could not do anything. Pakistan suffered heavy losses and even today its air bases are in the ICU.
He said that the world saw that there is no scope of our action. We can go from Sindhu to Sindoor. We attacked on our terms and only three countries of the world supported Pakistan in this attack. Due to India’s foreign policy, we got the support of many countries of the world but it is unfortunate that the valor of the heroes of the country did not get the support of Congress.
He said, “Just 3-4 days after the terrorist attack on April 22, they (Congress) started jumping around. They started saying, where did the 56-inch chest go? Where did Modi go? Modi has failed… They were shining their politics even on the killing of innocent people in Pahalgam.”
Modi said that when pilot Abhinandan was caught, it was natural for Pakistan to be happy because they had caught an Indian Army pilot. But there were some people here too who were whispering that now Modi is trapped, now let’s see what Modi does. He said, “Abhinandan came back with a bang.”
He urged Congress leaders to stop giving clean chit to Pakistan under pressure from one family. Congress should not turn the moment of victory of the country into a moment of ridicule. Congress should correct its mistake. On one hand India is moving fast towards ‘self-reliance’, and on the other hand Congress is still becoming dependent on Pakistan for issues. Unfortunately, Congress has to import issues from Pakistan.
During this, the Prime Minister praised India’s air defense system and said that Pakistan carried out more than a thousand drone attacks on the night of 09 May. Its attempt was to cause massive destruction but all the missiles were destroyed in the sky. Every citizen of the country should be proud of this. Pakistan spread a false claim of attack on Adampur Airport, in response to which he reached the air base the next day and refuted its claims.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that “Operation Sindoor” makes it clear that India has taken a decision on 3 points. If there is a terrorist attack on India, we will respond in our own way, on our own terms and at our own time. Now no nuclear blackmail will work. We will not see the governments supporting terrorism and the terrorist masterminds as two different entities.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan kept fighting wars and proxy wars for decades. The Congress governments neither reviewed the Indus Water Treaty nor ever corrected that big mistake of Nehru ji. But now India has corrected that old mistake and taken a concrete decision. The historic blunder made by Nehru ji, the Indus Water Treaty, has been corrected. Now it has been postponed in the interest of the nation and the farmers. This treaty, which is harming the country, cannot continue in this form. India has made it clear that blood and water cannot flow together.
At the end of the speech, he said, “Discuss, and do it so much that the enemy is terrified. Just keep in mind that the value of vermilion and the respect of the army should remain firm even in questions. If there is an attack on Mother India, then a fierce attack will have to be made. Wherever the enemy is, we will have to live for India only.”
