New Delhi, August 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday spoke to Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky over the telephone. During this, Zelensky shared his views on the recent developments related to Ukraine.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Prime Minister thanked President Zelensky and reaffirmed India’s firm and consistent stance towards efforts for a peaceful resolution of the conflict and early restoration of peace. The Prime Minister reiterated India’s commitment to provide all possible cooperation in this regard.
The two leaders reviewed the progress made in the India-Ukraine bilateral partnership and discussed further strengthening cooperation in various areas of mutual interests.
Prime Minister Modi and President Zelensky agreed to maintain constant contact in the future as well.
Prime Minister Modi later posted on Twitter, “Thank you to President Zelensky for his phone call today. We exchanged views on the ongoing conflict, its humanitarian aspect and efforts to restore peace and stability. India fully supports all efforts in this direction.”
