Indian cinema superstar Prabhas has once again proved that his dominance at the box office still continues. His latest horror-comedy film ‘The Raja Saab’ has taken the theatres by storm as soon as it was released.
According to the initial figures, the film has broken the record of Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’ by earning a huge amount on the opening day.
‘Dhurandhar’s’ record broken on the very first day
The superstar’s power at the box office has been seen once again. While ‘Dhurandhar’, which was one of the biggest films of 2025, had earned Rs 28 crore on the first day, ‘The Raja Saab’ surpassed this figure as soon as it was released. The film may be receiving mixed reviews, but the audience turnout has made it clear that Prabhas’ stardom outweighs any criticism.
Criticism pales in comparison to his star power
According to reports, “The Raja Saab” grossed a staggering โน45 crore on its first day. If advance bookings and paid previews are included, the film’s total opening earnings reach โน54.15 crore. This explosive start not only shattered the record of “Dhurandhar” but also proved Prabhas to be the true “king” of the box office.
A sequel was also revealed with a major surprise for audiences at the end of the film. The makers have officially confirmed the second part, titled “The Raja Saab: Circus 1935.” The upcoming festival holidays are expected to benefit the film, which is expected to boost its earnings further. Audiences are particularly praising Prabhas’ comic style and swag.
Prabhas’s new take on horror-comedy
Directed by Maruthi, “The Raja Saab” is an interesting blend of horror and comedy, featuring Prabhas in a completely new avatar. The story revolves around a mysterious old mansion that Prabhas’s character inherits and which has links to his ancestor, “Raja Saab.” Sanjay Dutt plays the villain in the film, while Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agarwal also appear in pivotal roles.
