Even though the makers had high hopes from Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur’s film ‘ Son of Sardar 2’, the audience completely rejected it. From the first day of its release, the film has failed to attract movie lovers at the box office. With each passing day, its earnings are continuously declining. This film is directed by famous Punjabi cinema filmmaker Vijay Kumar Arora, who is known for films like ‘Harjeeta’ and ‘Kali Jotta’. ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ stars Ajay Devgn opposite Mrunal Thakur who plays Rabia in the film. This is her first on-screen partnership with Ajay and the audience is loving their chemistry.

The film also stars Neeru Bajwa, Roshni Walia, Kubra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Sahil Mehta, Chunky Panday and Ravi Kishan in pivotal roles. Ajay has produced the film along with Jyoti Deshpande.

Both the films received mixed response from critics and audience, but a clear difference is visible between the two in the box office figures. Especially the situation of ‘Dhadak 2’ has remained worrying since the first day. This film is continuously failing to pull the audience to the theatres and is lagging behind in terms of collection.

According to the data of box office tracking portal Sacnilk, ‘Dhadak 2’ did a business of only ₹ 1.1 crore on seventh day of its release. With this, the total collection of the film has now reached Rs 16.7 crore. The film started with an average earning of Rs 3.5 crore on the first day.
