Nine lakh teachers of the state will get cashless treatment facility, announces CM Yogi

Lucknow, 5 September: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a big gift to lakhs of teachers of the state. All the teachers of the state will now be able to avail the benefit of cashless treatment facility. This facility will not only be for teachers of primary, upper primary, secondary, aided schools and colleges, but will also cover Shiksha Mitras, instructors and cooks.

Chief Minister Yogi was addressing the state level teacher felicitation ceremony organized in the capital Lucknow on Friday. The Chief Minister honored the teachers, distributed tablets and inaugurated the smart class in a program organized in the Lok Bhavan auditorium on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. The

Chief Minister said that now teachers and their families will not have to face financial crisis in any disease or emergency situation. About nine lakh teacher families will be directly benefited by this historic decision. The Chief Minister described the cashless treatment system as a symbol of the government’s gratitude towards the contribution of teachers.

The Chief Minister said that I would like to tell the teachers across the state that you guys do well, we are with you. On Teachers’ Day, you all will be thinking what else can be done. We want to announce today and that is that we will give the benefit of cashless treatment system to all the teachers of the state. Along with this, we will also connect Shiksha Mitra, Instructor and Cook with it. That is, about 9 lakh teachers of Uttar Pradesh i.e. 9 lakh families will get the benefit of this facility. The Basic Education, Secondary Education and Higher Education Department will work to provide the facility of cashless treatment within a time limit by completing all the formalities as soon as possible.

Chief Minister also announced that a high-level committee has been formed to increase the honorarium of Shiksha Mitra and Instructors. After the report of the committee comes, the government will soon take a positive decision on this. He said that the government’s decision is because these people also give strength to this campaign by walking step by step with us. The report for this will come very soon and we will try to do something better in that direction.

He said that teachers are not only the imparters of knowledge but are also the creators who strengthen the foundation of the nation. Concern for their respect and facilities is the government’s priority.

Chief Minister Yogi said that campaigns like Operation Kayakalp and Project Alankar were run to improve the condition of schools in the state. Under Operation Kayakalp, 1.36 lakh schools were connected with 19 basic facilities. While through Project Alankar, so far 2,100 schools have been provided new buildings and safe environment. Schemes like Nipun Bharat Mission and Bal Vatika are increasing the language and mathematical proficiency of children as well as connecting them with nutrition and basic education.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that before 2017, Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education was put in the dock, but now this board is becoming the pride of the country with reform and innovation.

He said that education is not just knowledge, but the foundation stone of a prosperous nation. Teachers are no less than any bureaucrat or leader, but are guides who give direction to the society. He gave the example that from Arunachal to Madhya Pradesh, even today the teachers of Uttar Pradesh are respected for their excellent education. This identity is now getting strengthened through positive environment and innovation.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the booklets of Bal Vatika should be simple and interesting, so that children learn while playing and find studies enjoyable. Under the Nutrition Mission, children should be given diverse and attractive food, so that interest is aroused in them.

He said that the examples of teachers who have done innovations in the field of education should be published and reach all the schools and be placed in front of the children in the assembly. This will inspire other teachers as well and a new direction will be created in the world of education for the future generation.
