Srinagar, November 20: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday arrested four more prime accused in the Delhi blast case, taking the total number of arrests in the case to six.
An NIA spokesperson said on Thursday that the NIA took the four accused into custody in Srinagar on the production order of the District Sessions Judge of Patiala House Court. These include Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai, a resident of Pulwama, Dr Adil Ahmed Rather, a resident of Anantnag, Dr Shaheen Saeed, a resident of Lucknow and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay, a resident of Shopian.
The NIA said in a statement that all of them played a key role in the terrorist attack in which several innocent people were killed and many others were injured.
The NIA, expediting its investigation, first arrested Aamir Rashid Ali, in whose name the car used in the blast was registered. This was followed by the arrest of Jasir Bilal Wani, alias Danish, who provided technical support to the terrorist involved in the deadly attack.
