Motorist hits on-duty female traffic cop in Noida

Noida, January 19: A female traffic police officer in the Noida area was hit by a car driver driving rashly and recklessly while she was on duty at Kisan Chowk. Police have registered a report and are investigating the matter.

Inspector in-charge of Bisrakh police station, Krishna Gopal Sharma, said that Priyanka, a female constable posted with the traffic police, filed a report at the police station last night stating that she was on traffic duty at Kisan Chowk on January 17. At 8:50 pm, she was managing traffic on the road from Parthala to Tigri. At that very moment, a car driver coming from the opposite direction, driving rashly and recklessly, hit her. She was seriously injured in the incident and her right leg is broken. According to him, people present at the scene informed Traffic Sub-Inspector Ramveer Singh and had her admitted to Yatharth Hospital for treatment.

The Station House Officer Krishna Gopal Sharma said that the female constable filed a report about the incident last night and the police are probing the matter.
