Moradabad, 24 August: The three accused of raping and forcing adult and minor girls into flesh trade under the guise of a cowshed were arrested by Majhola police station during an encounter late last night in Moradabad, police said.
As per the police, the three accused who were caught were injured by bullets in their legs and have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Two of these accused are from Bareilly district and one is from Sambhal district.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Satpal Antil and Superintendent of Police (SP) Nagar Kumar Ranvijay Singh reached the encounter site and inspected and interrogated the accused in the district hospital. On Friday night also, two accused were injured by bullets after an encounter in the same case, who were arrested by the police team.
Five days ago, on the morning of August 19, during interrogation of three girls caught travelling without ticket in Jammu Tawi Kolkata Express train, it was revealed that a prostitution racket was being run in Kanshiram Nagar in Thana Majhola area of ​​Moradabad. All three girls have escaped from the clutches of the gang. After this, a case has been registered against four accused including a woman.
On Friday night at 11 o’clock, police arrested Vijay Thakur and Avnish Yadav in an encounter near Herbal Park in Majhola area and when they were interrogated, they gave information about their other associates.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Satpal Antil said that late on Saturday night, Majhola police station was on patrol in the Thana area. During this time, three suspicious people were seen coming on a bike without a number plate near the bone mill located at Sonakpur Overbridge. When the police team signaled them to stop, the accused started firing. In self-defense, the police also retaliated by firing, due to which all the three accused got injured by bullets in their legs and fell there and were arrested by the police.
The arrested accused were identified as Sachin Thakur son of Alok Singh and Haseen son of Afsar Ali, residents of village Atranchhedi of police station Bisharatganj of Bareilly district and Vikas Chauhan son of Amardas, resident of village Rustamgarh of police station Chandausi area of ​​​​district Sambhal. All three injured miscreants were admitted to the district hospital. Three illegal country-made pistols of 315 bore, three live cartridges, three empty cartridges, three mobile phones and a motorcycle without number plate were recovered from them.
SSP Satpal Antil said that the accused have confessed that they used to take girls from the railway station to Kanshiram Nagar on the pretext of giving them work and make them do prostitution. The search for absconding accused Pinky is on in the case.
The team that arrested the three accused included Inspector in charge of Majhola police station Ravindra Kumar, Inspector Crime Mujammil Khan, Sub Inspector Chandrashekhar Yadav, Manoj Kumar, Jitendra Kumar and Lokendra Kumar, Head Constable Ahmed Rais Shahid, five head constables and six constable policemen.
