New Delhi, March 8: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in West Bengal for the insult of President Droupadi Murmu, saying that its arrogance of power will soon be shattered. The people will never forgive this.

Addressing an event in Burari on Sunday, the Prime Minister said that while the entire country is honoring the achievements of women on International Women’s Day, he also wants to share a pain with the people of Delhi and the country. Modi said that on Saturday, President Murmu went to Bengal to attend an important festival of Santhal tribal tradition, but instead of honoring the event, the TMC government boycotted it and completely ignored the arrangements for the event.

The Prime Minister said that the President herself comes from the Santhal tribal community and has always been concerned about the development and welfare of the tribal community. In such a situation, boycotting her program is not only an insult to the President but also an insult to the sentiments of the tribal community. He said that this is an insult not only to the President but also to the Constitution and its spirit. Modi said that this is against the great traditions of democracy and an insult to all women who have achieved a high position in society through struggle and hard work.

The Prime Minister said that India’s tradition and culture teach respect for every individual and every class. He added that insulting anyone holding any position is against the democratic norms of the country. He said, “It is said in our country that no matter how powerful a person is, his destruction is certain in the end.” The Prime Minister said that the TMC’s politics, steeped in the arrogance of power, will not last long.

Modi said that he wants to make it clear from the country’s capital that the TMC’s politics and arrogance of power, which insulted a tribal woman President, will soon be shattered. He said that the aware and enlightened people of West Bengal will never forget this incident. The Prime Minister stated that the people of the state will never forgive the TMC for insulting an Adivasi woman and the country’s President. He stated that not only Bengal, but the entire nation and the country’s tribal community are hurt by this incident.

He added that the nation’s women power will also not tolerate such behavior. Modi stated that respect for women is fundamental to Indian culture and civilization, and that those who violate this will face public condemnation.

The Prime Minister stated that the country is proud of the achievements of women today, and the government is continuously striving for women’s empowerment.

He added that respect for women and their participation are important foundations of India’s development.
