New Delhi, 30 April: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the pan India caste census. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has welcomed this decision of the Central Government and called it historic.
BJP President JP Nadda said in an ex post that the Union Cabinet has taken a historic decision to include caste census as well. This decision is very important from the point of view of bringing backward castes on economic, social and educational level into the mainstream and returning the respect to the people who have been deprived of their rights and rights for a long time.
Nadda said that Congress has proved its political interest by increasing animosity between castes for a long time and making them a means of vote bank. While in power, Congress always opposed the caste census, which is a proof that after independence, caste census has not been done in the country till date.
BJP national president added that this unprecedented decision of the Modi government will become a milestone in the expansion of social harmony as well as in the upliftment of every class and increasing the respect of the backward class. He expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for this historic decision for the welfare of the entire society.
