Gayaji, 22 August: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today gave the gift of development projects worth about 13 thousand crore rupees to the state from the Magadh University campus located in Bodh Gaya of Gayaji district of Bihar.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister flagged off two new trains. These trains include Amrit Bharat Express (13697/13698) running between Gaya and Delhi and the new fast Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) train (03626) running between Koderma and Vaishali.
At present, Mahabodhi Express is the only major train between Gaya and Delhi. With the start of the new Amrit Bharat Express train, people of Gaya and surrounding districts will get direct and fast rail facility. This train is equipped with modern facilities and with its start, the journey between Magadh region and Delhi will become more comfortable.
The projects inaugurated and laid the foundation stone by the Prime Minister include a 660 MW power project in Buxar constructed at a cost of Rs 6,880 crore, upgradation of Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama section of NH-31 to four lanes constructed at a cost of about Rs 1,900 crore, inauguration of Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Muzaffarpur and urban infrastructure projects worth about Rs 1,260 crore.
Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and NDA leaders were present.
Chief Minister also expressed his views in the program. He said that the Bihar government is continuously working to provide relief to the people. In the year 2018, electricity was provided to every household and now a scheme to provide 125 units of free electricity has been implemented from August.
Nitish said that this will provide direct relief to the common people and will work to further empower the people of the state.
