Mirzapur, 5 September: A man namely Mukesh died of snake bite on Friday morning in Hamidpur village of Chainpura Gram Panchayat of Jamalpur police station area in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh. Police reached on information and took the body in custody and sent it for post-mortem.
Jamalpur police station in-charge said that it was learned from the family that on Thursday evening Mukesh had gone to Bhawani Mai temple located outside the village, where he was bitten by a poisonous snake. After this, the family and villagers took him for exorcism instead of taking him to the hospital. He died on Friday morning due to lack of treatment till late night.
The deceased Mukesh used to take care of his family by working as a laborer. His wife Sanju Devi, son Vikas and daughters Khushboo and Khushi are inconsolable due to his death and the only support of the family’s livelihood has been snatched away.
