Shillong, June 11: In the murder case of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Meghalaya Police will now recreate the crime scene in Sohra in the presence of Sonam Raghuvanshi. The remaining four accused arrested in this case have been brought to Shillong and will be produced in the local court.
Meghalaya’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) team brought Sonam to Shillong late night. After that she was taken to Ganesh Das Hospital for medical examination to find out whether she is pregnant or not.
Senior police officer said that she was produced in the court and her police remand was sought. Police has named this investigation as ‘Operation Honeymoon’. East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Sayem said that important evidence has been collected from the accused’s hideouts in Indore and Ghazipur.
Sonam and her accomplices were arrested from Indore and Ghazipur in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. The SIT has obtained six-day remand of the accused arrested from Indore and three-day remand of an accused arrested from Ghazipur.
Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife were missing since May 23 while vacationing in Meghalaya’s Sohra area. Raja’s body was recovered from a ditch on June 2, bringing this sensational case to light.
