Lucknow, October 07: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Maharshi Valmiki is the destiny maker of the tradition of great men. Every storyteller in India first pays homage to Lord Valmiki. The seat on which he sits is called Vyas Peetha. India’s tradition of god-like sages has guided the society in all eras. Maharshi Valmiki in the Ramayana period, Maharishi Ved Vyas in the Mahabharata period, Satguru Ravidas in the medieval period and when the country was fighting for independence, Baba Saheb was seen guiding the society. Everyone has the same vision.

The Chief Minister told the people of the Valmiki community that your safety is the safety of the society. Your honor is a respect for the legacy of Lord Valmiki.

Chief Minister also gave them good news and announced that a significant undertaking is underway. Now, contract sanitation workers will receive money directly into their accounts, not through outsourcing companies. Sanitation workers will also receive health insurance coverage of โ‚น5 lakh. When the corporation deposits funds into their accounts, arrangements will be made to ensure that if a sanitation worker unfortunately meets with an accident or is affected by a disaster, they will speak with banks to arrange for a disbursement of โ‚น35-40 lakh through the bank. This coverage has been extended to 80,000 home guards in Uttar Pradesh. Now, sanitation workers are being integrated into this system.

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi attended the Maharishi Valmiki Prakat Diwas celebrations held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan under the auspices of the Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Mahasabha Trust. The Chief Minister congratulated the people of the state on the birth anniversary of Lord Valmiki. A short film was also shown at the event.

CM Yogi said that Maharishi Valmiki is the destiny maker of the tradition of great men of India. When the sage, tempered by penance and meditation, wanted to wield his pen, thousands of years ago, to pave the way for public welfare and human welfare and to create a new work, he asked Devrishi Narada, “Who is that person with character about whom I can write something?” Because Maharishi Valmiki knew that only a person with character can become a medium for public welfare and national welfare. When Swami Vivekananda went to the Chicago religious conference, foreigners laughed at his attire. Then he said, “Your identity is determined by your attire, but our country and our identity are determined by our character. For us, character is great.”

CM Yogi said that when Valmiki wrote the Ramayana, he based the entire story on Ram. He also explained why he chose Ram as the basis, as Ram is the embodiment of religion. Human society is grateful to Lord Valmiki. Whenever doubts arise in an Indian’s mind, the ideal Maharishi Valmiki set for every situation was that of Shri Ram, the most virtuous man. He presented the character of Ram, which is relevant in every era, country, and situation. He instilled this sentiment by calling him Maryada Purushottam (the most virtuous man). Ram never crossed the Lakshman Rekha of dignity.

CM said that during the SP regime, sanitation workers were exploited. They were not even paid four thousand rupees. However, the PM was the first to say that the evil practice of carrying human waste on the head should be stopped. Today, every home has a toilet. Giving priority to the people of Valmiki community among the sanitation workers, a good honorarium was arranged. Community toilets should be constructed in every village, and an order was issued to give honorarium to the Swachhata Mitras on a regular basis.
